We're excited to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day with our Quick Quotes friends and fans! What better way than to have a fun blog hop!!! During our hop you will see inspiration from all of the Design Team for our current blog challenge. Please visit the blog for full details how to play along with our challenge. This month we are featuring fussy cutting for the challenge and we are highlighting the AMAZING Powder Puff inks. Here is my sneak peek into my project.......
And.....Here is the hop sequence just in case you get lost along the way!
Now, in honor of Mother's Day, I decided to do a little layout of my kids...just for ME.
I used my absolute FAVORITE 1/2 page vellum piece that I have EVER gotten from Quick Quotes...
I think I bought this like 5 or 6 years ago at a convention and just couldn't ever quite figure out how I wanted to use it. Well, I finally figured it out!
At first glance, this is a simple layout...
However, I took that simple one step further and I created a wall hanging by using a piece of 12x12 QQ canvas and attaching length of ribbon to to the top for it to hang by.
This poem/quote by Patsy definitely tugs at my heart strings...and I found myself actually striving to do some of the things that she mentions...and more.
YES...we mailed Valentine cards to God once. LOL..Just sayin'. ;)
I used Mocha Mama, Tahiti, and Amaretto Powder Puff inks to create the distressed look on the edges of the page and the vellum. I used a sponge applicator rather than applying directly from the ink pad.
AND I love to fussy cut...so...well...you know...I did lots of it!
Hope this layout inspires you today!
Thanks for visiting me!
OH!!! And what's a Blog Hop without a fun prize?!!! Don't forget to visit all the blogs and leave comments!!!
The next stop on the hop is at Barb Craft. Hop on over and be inspired!
My name is Misty Willis...aka "mommyof5kidz". I have been happily married for 18 years, and loving every minute of it. Obviously I have 5 kids...and YES...I do love them all the same...BARELY! Just joking...sometimes they throw a kink in my paradise, but I still love them. They give me a LOT of scrappy material, and blackmail material for when they are older! I love to scrap the "picture perfect" photos, but also equally love to scrap the not so perfect...those are the fun ones! LOL
I love my hobby, and I love that my kids will KNOW that I love them when I am gone.
