Club Q Re-Do!

I Absolutely LOVE the colors in this month's Club Q kit!!!
The deep purple and the gold tones are simply amazing, and truly make any photo look elegant.
Rather than using the suggested layout, I decided to go a different way with the layout kit.

I am a circle fanatic...LOL...so I decided to work a circle layout.
I decided to add in some pops of white to the purple and gold to help soften the look of the layout.  I did this by adding in some white lace, white spritz, white paints, and I added some hand drawn white stitches.

I used the purple passion Powder Puff Ink on all of the gold edged paper and the petals of the paper flowers.

Here is a close up of the Title treatment.  I layered the purple laser cut onto a strip of the gold paper to help it Pop.  I trimmed the rhinestone strand into shorter pieces to ad to the butterflies and to make a "starburst" coming from the larger flower.

This layout is appropriately titled "A day worth Remembering".  This was my daughter's 5th grade manners banquet , and we both dressed in our "Sunday Best". It is also the day that I realized just how much my daughter looks like me.  :)

I hope that I have given you another idea on ways to use your Club Kit.  It is an amazing kit, and I LOVE creating with it!

Good Morning everyone!
I am sooooo thrilled that Bonnie invited me to join the RRR Dt for a 3rd term!
I absolutely adore ribbon and Bonnie has the BEST selection ever.
She has so many styles, colors and varieties, that it is truly difficult to make an order without ordering one of EVERYTHING!
This last 4 months, I have been super busy and preoccupied with preparing taxes for other people.
CRAZY me thought it would be fun....NOT!!!!
You know what it was? It is NUTS!
However...when it was over and Bonnie sent me an e-mail telling me
"Happy April 18th"...
She definitely made me smile!
Bonnie is awesome and working for her is truly a Joy.
Hence...My card....

I used the Green Apple double ruffle ribbon tied in a bow to enhance this simple card.
I have never claimed to be a card maker...and Bonnie knows that...
I am a bow maker, a home decor maker, a scrap booker, and a lot more...but cards are not my specialty.   However, sometimes, a simple card says all that you need to say.

So, Thank you, Bonnie...You gave me "JOY"!!!!

Hope you all have a magnificent day!

I thought the colors were so soft and springy, I didn't want to leave a single ribbon out.
I asked my "Little Model" what kind of clip she would want this month and she chose a ponytail holder again. **I think she is liking the ponies lately!**
So, here is what I made:

And here is my Beautiful model :)

I also decided to make a card this month with the butterfly stamp collection from The Rubber Cafe.

Happy Easter

What a beautiful day yesterday turned out to be.  It was a perfect day to spent with God and family.
Today, I am bringing you a different take on the Q-Club kit.  Here s the kit by the way, if you haven't already seen it:

I could just relish in it's GORGEOUSNESS!  The deep purples and the gold tones are magnificently paired creating an amazing spark of creativity deep inside!  Rather than making the 5x7 frame from the frame kit, I decided to make an inspirational wall hanging for my Grandmother for Easter.  Here is what I created:

I used the gold sides of the papers to cover chipboard pieces that I already had on hand. It is 12 inches tall and 10 inches wide, and is just perfect to hang above her mantle.  I used Biscotti and Midnight Confessions Powder Puff inks to create the rustic look on the edges, and I tossed in some ecru lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to help bring in the focal point of the beautiful magnolia flower.
I do still have the canvas piece from that particular kit, but I did use EVERYTHING else, and I love what I created!  I have something else in store for that handy dandy piece of canvas! (wink~wink)

Thanks for visiting us today!
Hope you had a Blessed Easter and a truly wonderful week ahead!
