Quick Quotes Blog
Now, in honor of Mother's Day, I decided to do a little layout of my kids...just for ME.
I used my absolute FAVORITE 1/2 page vellum piece that I have EVER gotten from Quick Quotes...
I think I bought this like 5 or 6 years ago at a convention and just couldn't ever quite figure out how I wanted to use it. Well, I finally figured it out!
At first glance, this is a simple layout...
This poem/quote by Patsy definitely tugs at my heart strings...and I found myself actually striving to do some of the things that she mentions...and more.
YES...we mailed Valentine cards to God once. LOL..Just sayin'. ;)
I used Mocha Mama, Tahiti, and Amaretto Powder Puff inks to create the distressed look on the edges of the page and the vellum. I used a sponge applicator rather than applying directly from the ink pad.
AND I love to fussy cut...so...well...you know...I did lots of it!
Hope this layout inspires you today!
Thanks for visiting me!

However, I took that simple one step further and I created a wall hanging by using a piece of 12x12 QQ canvas and attaching length of ribbon to to the top for it to hang by.

Amazing!!! Love this wall hanging and the color combo is one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing.
First of all, I have to say: FIVE kids, wow, I thought my hands were full with just 4. Your wall hanging just proves that everything a scrapbooker or card crafter buys DOES get used. Sometimes, it just takes a while :). Thank you for reminding me just how precious our children are, ( not like I ever forgot) even when they are being little stinkers! God Bless mothers all around the world!!!
I absolutely love this project!!
Pretty!! That's a lot of little ones, though!

Great project. I love the idea to use a 1/2 page quote. I've struggled with that, too. And what a fab photo!
OK, so you not only had a great quote but the picture of your kids is priceless. Great idea to mount on canvas for a more permanent display. We all deserve to make projects for ourselves!
What a stunning creative piece to show and be proud of!
Love it all - really great quote(!) agreed, canvas project, added dimension of the flowers.
