What do you get when you have TWO 8 year old boys, a couple of Halloween costumes, a sunny day, and a trampoline?

Answer...a BUNCH of FANTASTIC photos!
These two super heros were battling the forces of evil against the evil
Dr. Chance in order to save the world!
Or, at least to save each other from being tossed into the pool!

I had a BLAST taking these pics of these boys playing.
I LOVE that they have a great imagination.
I LOVE that they don't need a play station or an Ipod to have fun.

And I LOVE the pics that I got!

Will share a few Easter photos later on in the week.
Hope yours was FANTASTIC!

Scrapbook Daisies Blog Hop!

Hello!!!  And welcome to the next stop on the Scrapbook Daisies April blog hop.  If you have arrived here from Michelle's blog, then FABULOUS!  You are on the right track!  If not, then please consider starting at the beginning of the hop at the Scrapbook Daisies blog so that you don't miss out on any of the fun!

I got to work with the "Hattie" kit this month featuring My Minds Eye! I Am SOOOO loving the colors of the kit... and the chipboard embellies are AWESOME~

Here is one of my layouts with this kit. I used the Sketch from My Minds Eye this month to complete this layout about my 3 sons.
My friend Kris pointed out to me that I DID use the theme "April Showers", and after taking a closer look at the
Design Team's interpretations, I have to agree!
April showers --- May flowers --- I used flowers!
April showers --- water --- my use of all the blue color!
April showers --- water --- sailboats sail on water  use of the sailboat embellie)
April showers ---water---waves ---wavy ric-rak

They are not just boys....they are BROTHERS.  There is no bond as strong as the  bond between brothers.

Next up is my Scraplift of the Fabulous MARTHA!  I was honored to be able to lift one of her layouts this month...and she has SOOOO much to choose from!  I chose this one featuring her adorable son...SUCH A CUTIE!
It was a perfect match to the colors of this kit, and I enjoyed the challenge of trying to imitate her style with the blocking and journaling strips! ALl of the supplies are from my kit except the alphas.  Here is my lift....
It is my son Dayne on his 2nd grade field trip.  These four kiddos are completely bonded at the hip, I think!  They are always together.  I am so happy that he has established friendships like this at such an early age.
***Edited to add...this morning he took this layout to school to share with his friends! Lol.

And here is my FAVORITE layout that I created from this kit.
I used the April PageMaps and created this...

For some reason, I have been REALLY into quilts lately.  So much so that I have been "Window Shopping" on the internet for a new one! LOL!  When I saw this sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!  All of the supplies are from my kit except the alphas and mini buds that came from my stash and the crocheted lace trim around the quilt that came from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I thought it was the PERFECT finishing touch to this project!   It was left over from the project I did for my first DT post over there in May...I am SO excited...I can't wait to share it with you!

Nikki Sivils GDT!

I am so honored to have been chosen to be a GDT for Nikki Sivils!  Her paper lines are so cute and whimsical and a LOT of fun to play with!
Susan told me to pick my top 2 favorites...and that was HARD to do!   BUT, I finally selected the "We Are Family" line and the "Summer" collection.   I LOVE the deep tones in the "Family" line and the "Summer" is so bright and colorful...made me long for days in the park!

I started working immediately when I got them, and got most of my work done, but the last week and a half, I have been one sick Mama.  Tamon told me..."Mom...you're crazy. You don't have time to be sick."  He was only joking, but he was right! LOL...Mom's DON'T get to be sick do we!!!???

Well, I did finally finish up that last layout, and sent in my stuff to Susan, and I was happy!  I really was happy with what I had created!!!  SICK or Not!

AND....My work is featured on Nikki's Blog today!  YAY!!!!

Here are my projects....

Please go check out what Susan had to say and leave me some Luv over at Nikki's blog!
There are more "up Close" photos over there also!!
Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a FANTABULOUS weekend!

SNR Featured Artist!

When Dana contacted me about being a featured artist, I was truly honored.  I LOVE Scrapbooking, I LOVE playing with all of the papers and embellies that this industry has to offer, and I LOVE creating!  She suggested that I do some sort of altered project, and so I did!

I have had a little wooden case sitting on my desk for MONTHS.  Skye has begged me to make her a jewelry box, and it has been put on the back burner continuously.  I decided to finally alter the case and turn it into a jewelry box for my little Princess!

I used the Imaginisce "Enchanted" line for this project...it was absolutely IDEAL!  I also tossed in lots of ribbons and trim, and Prima!!!!

Here is the final result:

Please head over to the Scrapbook News and Review site, where you will find a step by step tutorial on how I created this little jewelry box for my munchkin.
She will LOVE finding it in her basket on Easter day filled with dollar store necklaces and bracelets!!!

Thanks for visiting...and checking out my tutorial!
have a fantastic week!!

Winner WInner!!!!

Sorry this post is so late...my computer keeps dying on me!!!  AGH!

So....here is my winner from the blog hop this weekend....

Blogger Marcy S. said...
I loved the apron and the saying. I am a new follower. My funniest story is when I was about 7, my mom had me cleaning the tube (she started us young, maybe that is why I hate it now, lol), it was one of those old claw tube and I couldn't get the ring out and when I told her she told me to use "elbow grease" being just 7 I asked her, "where is it, under the cabinet". I don't think I will ever forget that story. Thanks for making me laugh tonight and the chance to win some great blog candy.

NOW....

If you have arrived at my blog from Artful Delight
Then you are right on track!
I certainly hope you enjoyed that stop and the others so far!!!

I decided to "Celebrate" this Holiday with a little
Apron Shaped card:
The front pocket holds a packet of Lipton Tea (My FAVE!).
On the inside, the card reads...

...Is merely a Cape worn
 BACKWARDS.
Snip the strings,
Sip Your tea,
And take the Day off! The dust bunnies aren't going anywhere!
Enjoy Your Day!

I am sure that we all deserve a day off!  TODAY IS THAT DAY!
Kick your feet up and relax!
Oh...and I thought I would share a little horror story with you about one of my first house cleaning experiences.....

***************************************************************************

Soooooo.....When hubby and I bought our first home, it was "second hand" and thought I would do a DEEEEEEP cleaning on everything. I didn't want the germs of the previous tenants. So I set to work.  Sweeping, mopping scrubbing walls and ceiling fans...then I got to the bathroom.
YUCK.  The Bathroom. The thought of another person's butt on my toilet....
UGH...it still makes me cringe. I wanted that room CLEAN.
I dumped Snow Bowl toilet cleaner into the toilet, and then thought...Hmmm....what if I add some bleach?  Bleach kills EVERYTHING...and...it will get REALLY white!
BONUS!
Genius that I thought I was, added about a half a cup of bleach, and a CLOUD of smoke poofed out of the toilet...like a chemistry experiment!  I jumped back...just in time to avoid getting it all over my feet!  LOL.  I literally caused a chemical reaction in my TOILET!!!!   There was white foam ALL over my bathroom floor!  I had to go out and close the door because the fumes were overwhelming!  LOL
Needless to say...I learned to read labels and WARNINGS!  I never mixed bleach with ANYTHING again!
Yes...the toilet was sparkling white, as was my floor...but...WOW...it freaked me out!  :)

Fabulous Friday?

ABSOLUTELY!

My layout with the "Max & Mollie" collection is featured
Go check it out!
Oh...and Nikki and Bobi and Renee from Clip-It-Up have teamed up and
They are doing a GIVE-WAY, TOO!!!!!

BUT...you have to go over to the Nikki Sivil's Blog! and
check it out for all the details!

*********************************************************************
I also have a few layouts to share today.
I am hosting the "Scrap Lift" challenge over at Scrapbook Daisies .
This month, I chose to lift Michelle...I love her clean lines and style...and I LOVE her titles!
I lifted a combination of 2 of her layouts to get this one...
This is my 14 year old, Tamon.
I can NOT BELIEVE how much he has grown.  The difference here is almost exactly 11 years... but it looks like so much more.  I can't believe that he is going to be a Freshman in High School in only a few short months.  WOW.  Time Flies.

I am also hosting the Book Of  Me challenge...
This month, the assignment is "Pieces of Me"
Here is what I did as My example...
These 5 kids make up the most important pieces of ME.
Before them, I didn't know anything was missing.
NOW...my life would be incomplete without them.
They are my EVERYTHING.

****************************************************************
Oh...and here is a glimpse of what my girls have been insisting I do every day this week....
I think they like the attention that they are getting at school with their "COOL" hair-do's.  Skye came home wanting a braid because her friend at school had one and she liked it.  Aubrie...upon seeing Skye's braid...decided she wanted one, too. So, I have been a braiding Mama all week long.  I have learned...
1.  it takes more than 30 minutes to french braid doubles into two girls' hair.
BUT....  it only  takes 30 seconds for a rotten brother to mess it up.

2.  Girls love for Mama to make them pretty....
BUT....they love it more when Daddy notices.

3.  A 10 year old red head is gorgeous when she looks "girly"....
BUT...don't make the mistake of telling HER that!  "GIRLY" is not a word that is in her vocabulary!

Well....Thanks for checking in in me today!!!  DON'T FORGET to head over to the Nikki Sivils blog and check out the Give-Away! Oh...and it is her BIRTHDAY weekend!!!  Be sure to leave her some Birthday Lovin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a Fantastic Weekend!~
