Blog Hopping with Quick Quotes!

We're excited to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day with our Quick Quotes friends and fans!  What better way than to have a fun blog hop!!!  During our hop you will see inspiration from all of the Design Team for our current blog challenge.  Please visit the blog for full details how to play along with our challenge.  This month we are featuring fussy cutting for the challenge and we are highlighting the AMAZING Powder Puff inks. Here is my sneak peek into my project.......

And.....Here is the hop sequence just in case you get lost along the way!

Quick Quotes Blog

Now, in honor of Mother's Day, I decided to do a little layout of my kids...just for ME.
I used my absolute FAVORITE 1/2 page vellum piece that I have EVER gotten from Quick Quotes...
I think I bought this like 5 or 6 years ago at a convention and just couldn't ever quite figure out how I wanted to use it.  Well, I finally figured it out!
At first glance, this is a simple layout...

However, I took that simple one step further and I created a wall hanging by using a piece of 12x12 QQ canvas and attaching length of ribbon to to the top for it to hang by.

This poem/quote by Patsy definitely tugs at my heart strings...and I found myself actually striving to do some of the things that she mentions...and more.
YES...we mailed Valentine cards to God once.  LOL..Just sayin'.  ;)
I used Mocha Mama, Tahiti, and Amaretto Powder Puff inks to create the distressed look on the edges of the page and the vellum.  I used a sponge applicator rather than applying directly from the ink pad.
AND I love to fussy cut...so...well...you know...I did lots of it!
Hope this layout inspires you today!
Thanks for visiting me!

OH!!!  And what's a Blog Hop without a fun prize?!!!  Don't forget to visit all the blogs and leave comments!!!
The next stop on the hop is at  Barb Craft.  Hop on over and be inspired!
Have a magnificent NSD weekend!

First of all, I have to say: FIVE kids, wow, I thought my hands were full with just 4. Your wall hanging just proves that everything a scrapbooker or card crafter buys DOES get used. Sometimes, it just takes a while :). Thank you for reminding me just how precious our children are, ( not like I ever forgot) even when they are being little stinkers! God Bless mothers all around the world!!!

Great project. I love the idea to use a 1/2 page quote. I've struggled with that, too. And what a fab photo!

OK, so you not only had a great quote but the picture of your kids is priceless. Great idea to mount on canvas for a more permanent display. We all deserve to make projects for ourselves!

I simply had to say thanks once more. I am not sure the things I would’ve followed without the type of ideas shown by you over such theme. It seemed to be a real distressing situation in my opinion, but witnessing the very professional way you resolved it took me to leap for joy. I am just grateful for your information and as well , trust you know what a powerful job that you are putting in instructing many people using your site. I’m certain you haven’t encountered all of us.
