Flippin' Awesome Card
Hi everyone! Misty here today with a little bit of card inspiration
to get you in the "Summer" spirit!
I am soooo ready for summer to be here, and the Summer Samba collection from Quick Quotes is the perfect warm weather collection!
I thought the chipboard flip flops were just so flippin' cute! I just had to do something with them immediately! With inks and ribbon in hand, I set to work.
I decided that I would make a card and keep the focus on those awesome flip flops.
I used the Mango Mai Tai and Tahiti Powder Puff inks to set the colors of the flip flops, and I used Midnight Confession and Baja Blue to ink the edges of the card stock. Here is a close up of the flip flops.
And what better way to keep the focus on the flip flops than with
a super cool greeting like...
"You're Flippin' AWESOME"!!!
Yes, the receiver of the card loved it!
I hope I have inspired you to break out of the wintery shell
and get into a summer mood! Flip Flops always do it for me!
Thanks for visiting us today and have an AWESOME Flippin' Day!!!!

Blog Hopping Time!
Hello everyone! Welcome to the March edition of the
Really Reasonable Ribbon DT Blog Hop
If you made it to my blog through Heidi's Beautiful Blog then
you are on the RIGHT TRACK!!! If not...you might
consider starting at the beginning at the
Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and making your way through.
This month, we are showcasing this MAGNIFICENT
assortment of aquas and corals.
OMGoodness at the gorgeousness!
Of course, I used these beautiful ribbons to create
another hair pretty for my daughters.
This time, For my "Bow of the Month",
I decided on something a little bit different.
Skye is really getting into pulling her hair into a "side ponytail"
and doesn't always want to wear a bow.
SO...I decided to beautify her ponytail itself!
I used the Pony-O Rings from the RRR
store and some ribbon from this month's assortment and made
a few ponytail bands with ribbon.
Here is one of them:
Skye loved the ponytail and LOVED the fact that she didn't have to wear a bow
in order to get the pretty ribbons in her hair!
Here is a close up of how it looked in her hair...
Of course, after modeling her new ponytail holder, she insisted on wearing it the rest of the day!
THAT alone tells me that she loved it.
Super simple...super cute...and SUPER easy!
Check out the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for my tutorial tomorrow!
Your next stop on this hop is at Dawn's Delightful Blog.
Thanks for stopping and and have a WONDERFUL Day!

Hold Fast to your Memories
Hello Everyone! Misty Here with my very first posting as a Quick Quotes DT member! Today, I am hoping to inspire you with another Tin Type creation. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this line! The colors are Fantabulous and the quotes are perfect! Here is my layout:
I have had these photos of my son and I for quite a while. I knew that I wanted to scrap this memory, but I was unsure of what to do until I saw the Tin Type collection. It was GORGEOUS and just perfect! My son was 14 years old and had picked some flowers for me at the park. Not only was it sweet that the flowers were from my SON...but my FOURTEEN YEAR OLD son was doing this! This is something that I want to remember forever...a memory that I want to "Hold Fast" and never let go!
I started with Tin Type 200 as my base and stamped in some white flourishes and dabbled in a little bit of white mist. The package backing from the Gears Vellum silhouette served as my center sheet. It is already lined with the white edge and has a beautiful glossy look...so I couldn't just toss it! If my layout was going to be green in color, it may as well be ALL green, right!!?? I put it to good use in my layout!
I used the quote strip from the Tin Type 500 cut outs sheet as my title to accent my photos. I hand made my banner and my flower, and fussy cut the swirl from Tin Type 400
My favorite part of this layout is the laser cut butterflies that are situated right in between the photos of my son and myself. They are from the Butterflies Bag O Chips and WOW are they gorgeous! I inked them with 4 different Powder Puff chalks and even covered the wings with stickles. They completed my "dreamy" layout perfectly!
Thank you for Stopping by and visiting me today. Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

March is the month of GREEN!
Everyone is going GREEN this month, and so am I!
Over at Really Reasonable Ribbon, Bonnie has posted the first challenge for the month and guess what it is.....
YEP! GO GREEN!
Here is my Green project...
It is a "Lucky Me" door hanging to greet all of my visitors this month.
I do feel very blessed and LUCKY to have friends and family that visit. :)
Not only is this green in color, but it is an old plaque that Joe found stuffed in the back of my pantry and tossed in the garbage can.
I fished it out and put it to good use!
Head on over to the RRR Blog to check out the criteria and play along!
As always, there ARE prizes involved!!!!
I do have more GREEN projects to share with you all throughout this month, so stay tuned!
Here are a couple that I have shared recently...
