Tamon won FIRST PLACE!!!!

In Pole Vaulting at the Keefer VS Brabham meet last night! I was soooo excited for him! Below are the photos of him clearing the pole...the ones I got anyway!!!
This first one was of him clearing it at 6 feet. That is high That is like jumping or the top of a tall man's head! LOL...Oh...and for reference...the POLE is at 6 feet...do you see how much clearance he has between him and the pole????


This next one is at 7 foot. I didn't get the 6.5 photo....but that's ok. Tamon had come to me and said..."I hope I get 2nd place again." **He has gotten 2nd consistantly at all of his track meets thus far**. I just looked at him...stunned. He is shooting for 2nd???!! Um...no.
I told him..."Why not go for first, Tamon. You are REALLY good, son. If you get 2nd that is great...but go for first, kid"
He smiled, and said..."Thanks, Mom. I will." And off he went to jump the 7 foot pole. Here are the results. =) Happy Mom...right??? WELLLLLLLLLL....

This last one is at SEVEN AND A HALF FEET!!!! Look at that form and his grace! I love this! As they say in basketball..."Nothin' but net". This was a gorgeous jump!


Well, he has cleared 8 foot before, but tonight, he was exhausted. He had just placed 3rd in discus throw, and ran a LOOOOOOOONG way to make it to jump in time. He was tired and just couldn't quite clear the 8 foot bar without knocking it off...so he won first with a 7.5 clear jump. I am Proud. =)

I am so happy and so proud for my son, that I am in the mood to give something away!! OMGoodness! my jaw dropped when I checked my mail today! I had a very mysterious, very FULL envelope just begging for me to open it! Imagine my surprise, and SHEER DELIGHT when I opened it up to see this!!! Jenneke sent this to me for winning over at "A Few Of my Favorite Things"

Scrap Around the World Tour

We are in the second of this 7 week long scrappy adventure! We have already visited Germany with Mel...now we are on our expedition through Ireland...led by Yours Truly!! Our layout challenge for Ireland is pretty simple...create a layout using one of the Irish Proverbs...I have 10 to choose from listed on the forum. The twist...you have to figure out how to incorporate a clover into your layout! Here is my sample...

A lot to catch up on!!!

I have not blogged in a while...sick kids, bad weather, and lots of errands are only a few things that have kept me from blogging! It has been one heck of a week...Thank goodness it is almost over!

Well...I have my reveal for ScrapBook Deals 4U to post...it was such a FUN FUN FUN kit! Bold and bright colors and eggs and bunnies are perfect for Easter and the beginning of spring! Here are a few of my projects using the FAN~TABULOUS Hippity Hoppity Kit...

Simply Obsessed March Reveal!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be joining Simply Obsessed as an official Member of the AMAZING Design Team! Today is my very first reveal with the MAGNIFICENT March kit, "Lucky Me", featuring Little Yellow Bicycle...and WOW~WOW~WOW! This kit ROCKED my WORLD! It is SOOOOOO versatile and will cover a wide variety of topics...not just St. Patty's day!

In this layout " ..LUCKY...", I focused on the blue and green colors to create a baby layout. I did use that little crocheted clover that comes in the kit...isn't it just stinkin' adorable! I used a punch to make the tiny white flowers and my cricut to make the vines.



In "BLISS", I did a punched blue bonnet that I pieced together. I have been wanting to do this for a long time...and this kit finally gave me the inspiration! I used white and blue cardstock for the petals and inked the top with green to create the off colored top of the blue bonnet. I used my cricut for the leaves. For the butterfly, I trimmed and heated one of the clear shamrocks to get it to look like the butterfly...I then used dimensional paints to create the black body and outline the wings.


And last is a traditional "Good Luck" card.
